Robert Bassal, an Iranian artist in New York, studied sculpture,
drawing and painting in Iran before moving to Israel in
1972. Continuing his studies and teaching art, he exhibited
sculpture and video arts in Israel in 1985.
Bassal's first solo exhibition since moving
to the US in 1989 was held at Crosby Painting Studio in SoHo,
New York in April, 2006.
Today Robert Bassal designs silver jewelry.
His uniquely crafted necklaces and brooches are handcrafted
using archaic silversmith techniques. These one-of-a-kind
pieces have a spontaneous Eastern look.
